Case Study
Apple VS Samsung
Two of the main competitorsin the mobile phone industry are Apple Inc. and Samsung Electronics ltd. Both companies have made amazing technological breakthroughs im mobile technology and have been hugely responsible for where mobile phones are today. The companies have filed many lawsuits against eachother for things like stealing design. What I want to know is which of the two rivals make a better mobile phone? Also who do I think contributes more to making mobile phones better? I've used the case study of the Apple iPhone 5 Vs the Samsung Galaxy S III.
Apple iPhone 5 | Samsung Galaxy S III | 7.6mm thick | 8.6mm thick | Metal Casing (Aluminium) | Plastic Casing | Non-Removable battery | Removable battery | Scratch Prone | Flimsy ultra-thin covering | 58mm wide | 71mm wide | 4 Inch Screen | 4.8 inch screen | 1,136x640 resolution | 1,280x720 resolution | 1086 A6 Processor | Quadcore 1.4 GHz processor | Apple IOS 6 | Android 4.0 icecream sandwhich | No Micro SD | Micro SD | Micro Sim | Micro Sim | 1 GB RAM | 1 GB RAm | 8mp Camera | 8mp Camera | Apple 8pin connector | Micro USB | LED Flash | LED Flash | HD video camera | 1080p HD Video Camera | 1440 MAH Battery | 2100 MAH Battery | Apple Maps (Out of date, Inacurate) | Google Maps |
In Conclusion the battle between the Apple iPhone 5 and the Galaxy S III is a close one. The Galaxy S III is more flexible with expandable memory, Micro USB and less rigid settings. The iPhone on the other hand feels much better and has a better screen design for those who don't have giant hands. In the end I would go for the Samsung because the battery is much better and Android isn't as stiff and rigid as IOS.
